Prom Style: Trendy vs Classic
Tuesday, April 3, 2007
With so many prom dresses out there, deciding on one can be almost impossible. You must first decide what kind of a gal you are: trendy or classic? Once you've pinpointed your style, the shopping process will fall into place.
Here's a sampling of both looks to steer you down the right path. Ladies, please choose wisely. Make sure your dresses have a 'timeless' feel or you'll be looking back at photos 20 years later wondering what alien possessed you to wear such a tacky frock!
Trendy
Classic
And here's a clutch that will compliment both looks...
Bubble dress in Papaya $130 via David's Bridal, Unisa 'Danica 2' sandals in Champagne $74 via Zappos, Trumpet dress in Apple $229 via David's Bridal, Charles David Alpha peep toe heels in Metallic Champagne $178 via Zappos, and the Lauren Merkin Charlotte Metallic Pale Gold Lambskin Clutch $220 via Active Endeavors.

I adore that bubble dress, although I'm definitely usually a classic girl. Maybe because this dress isn't too extreme, and the length and top/bow really keep it feminine. Very pretty! I-S-F
